A system that encourages everyday kindness on Discord
In the first half of 2024, Harassment and Bullying made up the second highest number of reports across Discord’s 12 Policy Categories – hitting 18.97%.
That’s around 5.5 million of 29.5 million reports.
Discord User Endorsement is a concept designed to help reduce these numbers by highlighting and encouraging kindness through fun interactivity and rewards. It introduces a system where users are able to acknowledge each other’s positive actions through endorsements, turning good interactions into something actively celebrated.
Introducing this would help create more uplifting, safe, and positive spaces for all users. It serves as a fun yet subtle reminder that kindness matters online.
The endorsement system allows users to give out a weekly limit of Kudos through a simple click.
Whether it’s helpful advice, friendly support, or an enjoyable conversation, users can send an endorsement directly through someone’s message.
As each user’s endorsement level rises, they unlock new optional badges to display with pride, along with some secret gifts.

As an additional mascot, Pip’s purpose is to represent the spirit of the user endorsement system. She’s a golden retriever who is friendly, encouraging, and always ready to celebrate.
Pip acts as a frequent and friendly face in any visuals to do with this system specifically, helping guide users through it.
By bringing more warmth and excitement to this experience, she acts as a key role in creating a more positive community on Discord!
