Isobel and James are essential for grounding Compass in user needs. They help ensure the service is designed with empathy so Compass stays focused on delivering a meaningful, ethical, and user-centred product.

My passion for AI drove me to go deeper into the architecture of how they function. To build a product for users which works, I believe it is important to understand the entire process. Building and testing the agents helped to assess the viability of Compass and what the it needs to operate successfully.

This captures my process of stress-testing the Compass AI agents through adversarial prototyping. It helped me identify weak points and potential failure scenarios, giving me critical insight into how the agents might behave unpredictably. I’ve enjoyed the process of doing a deep dive into the workings of AI and will continue to explore it going forward.

Exploring mitigation strategies helped me understand where Compass AI agents might fail and how to reduce risks. This was key to building a safer, more reliable user experience.

I find using paper initially is great to understand the flow of the UI to make sure it all makes sense and build the foundations.

User testing was essential in shaping Compass into a product with AI that truly works for real people. Watching users interact with the system revealed pain points, unexpected behaviours, and opportunities I hadn’t considered.

Creating mid- and high-fidelity prototypes helped me visualise Compass more clearly and spot design flaws before development. It brought the concept closer to a real product.

Testing the interactive prototype with users revealed what worked and what didn’t, allowing me to refine the experience based on real feedback.

This blueprint gave me clarity on how Compass Finance functions — not just on the surface, but behind the scenes. It helped me break down each user interaction and align the moving parts of the service. Seeing it all laid out helped me design a more connected, meaningful experience for both users and stakeholders.

The social business model encapsulates all the key parts of how Compass will work as a business. I found the business side of the project engaging as I am able to see how an idea is now coming to life. It allowed me to assess if the idea is feasible and if it will work in the real world.
