Through documenting my passage across the Peak District, I challenge the nature of my relationship with the landscape; whether it is a contest, collaboration or a coexistence.

Process

My journey is not simply a walk; it is an engagement, an evolving relationship between myself and the environment. As I traverse the River Kinder in the Peak District, I do not seek to conquer this landscape, nor do I wish to define it. Instead, I seek to exist within it, to listen, to feel, and to understand my place within its vast, breathing expanse.

Beginning at the reservoir’s opening, I do not follow a predetermined path. Instead, I allow the river to guide me, surrendering to its flow. Here, in this wild and untamed terrain, the landscape strips away the extraneous, leaving only the raw immediacy of experience.
