I am a multi-media artist exploring emotional complexities of disordered eating, using humour, surreal forms and vivid colours to transform private struggles into a playful installation.

Final Project

Consumption and Concealment

Slice Slice Baby, 2025

These familiar household pieces all incorporate bold colours and dynamic compositions that mirror the intensity of the craving, while layers of texture and obscured elements reflect the concealment and isolation. I aim to portray these intimate moments and hope to open a dialogue about the intersection of self-indulgence and self-judgment, challenging societal stigmas around eating habits.

Grease Lighting, 2025

Working in both large and small scales allowed me to explore how food can be both humorous and sculptural, with each piece designed to grab attention, spark curiosity, and invite a closer look at the everyday through a surreal, exaggerated lens. I experimented throughout the preparation period with various colours, different sizes and furniture to create a room that becomes an extension of an individual’s secret world.

My practice became more experimental when I aimed to engage the viewers through comedy and discomfort visually. ‘Swiss Bliss’ is a sculptural piece that playfully features similar qualities to create a comedic and satirical aesthetic and visually overload the viewer with vivid and wacky food. Multiple sculptural pieces follow this playful approach and border on the line between realism and caricature as they contain realistic components that are sometimes overshadowed by neon over-dramatisations, smothering the viewer with an overwhelming visual experience.
