“Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderland” is a luxury, maximalist, imaginative textile collection for the home space. It is inspired by the themes of fantasy and imagination, exploring the uniqueness of storytelling and illustration. This collection reflects upon my joyful experience of Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, an amusement park which invites people to escape every day life. I also explore how fairy tale author Hans Christian Andersen was inspired by his visit to Tivoli to write his story “The Nightingale” about the friendship between a Chinese Emperor and a mysterious singing nightingale.
These textiles have been both digitally and screen printed and have been brought together to form an exciting and imaginative collection.
