I'm a textiles designer creating futuristic, conceptual environments. My work explores how colour and surface influence atmosphere and emotion. I use techniques including laser cutting, digital embroidery and 3D printing to craft immersive, emotionally resonant textile spaces.

This project explores textile design for a futuristic autonomous vehicle imagined for the year 2050. Combining colour, form and e-textiles, the collection creates immersive environments that support wellbeing, productivity and relaxation. Inspired by flexible rental models and future urban visions, these vehicles offer on-demand, door-to-door travel while reducing congestion and carbon emissions. Techniques such as laser cutting, digital embroidery and 3D printing are used to enhance mood and function through light, texture and sound. ‘Travelling Tranquillity’ reimagines car interiors as calm, human-centred spaces designed for a personalised and restorative commuting experience.

The Journey: Making the Vision Real

For this project I used photography to capture the city during a commute and then translated the images into calming watercolour prints and natural forms for the design inspiration.

I used a variety of processes to bring my project to life, exploring 3D printing, layering of stitch and experimenting with integrating e-textiles.
