My practice uses looped performance pieces to embody anxiety's relentless cycles. Through immersive sensory experiences, I reflect upon the overwhelming nature of intrusive thoughts, trapping viewers in discomfort and evoking the emotional weight of uncertainty, repetition and psychological unease.

Patterns of Panic‘ – video performance, black and white with sound, continuous loop (acrylic, string, tape and marker)

About My Practice

My studio practice, positioned at the threshold of public and private, becomes an exploratory space to create immersive experiences that capture the emotional weight of anxiety and discomfort. Serving as a bridge between personal expression and collective understanding. I aim to highlight the endless loops of recurring non-rhythmic movements, creating a sense of lost hope. Through the use of different medium, I emphasise those forces that are invisible, such as intrusive thoughts, panic, distress or anguish. My artwork embodies these dissonant elements, inviting viewers to confront the unsettling experiences and emotions that often remain hidden or unacknowledged in everyday life. By challenging the viewer’s boundaries of emotional engagement, I offer a space for reflection on the shared human experience of unease.

More About my Practice

My video installations are projected in enclosed, dark rooms, creating an atmosphere of isolation that encourages viewers to disconnect from the outside world. This immersive environment allows a dissociative experience from a familiar space into discomfort, mirroring the clinical nature of anxiety and intrusive thoughts. Through audio-visual art, I build a sensory field that invites viewers to confront feelings of vulnerability and distress, linking personal emotion with shared understanding. My work aims to challenge the boundaries of emotional engagement, allowing a space for reflection on the hidden mental patterns and anxieties that shape our shared human experiences.
