Lexi’s Box of Borrowed Magic is a children’s book about hand-me-down clothing, focusing on sustainable fashion in an appropriate and relevant way to young children. The whimsical story relies on the main character’s imagination to see the magic in old and forgotten clothing, and follows the adventures she embarks on with each garment.
The story begins with a young girl, Lexi, walking down a shopping high street with her mum, admiring the beautiful dresses in shop windows. Lexi asks to try them on, but her mum instead takes her home and shows her a big box of hand-me-down clothing to peruse. As Lexi pulls on each item, she is transported in her imagination to new worlds where she can be whoever she wants to be, from a brave firefighter in her red jacket to an astronaut in her blue puffer coat.

Each illustration was painted using watercolour, then hand cut, photographed, and layered in photoshop to include real shadows and add further dimension to the pages.

Reveli is a non alcoholic wine brand, currently specialising in red wine, that uses adaptogens in each bottle to improve overall wellbeing without the negative effects of alcohol. Adaptogens are natural, plant based substances that help the body cope with stress and restore balance. Each bottle contains a unique medley of adaptogens that have different desired outcomes, including improved cognitive function, elevated energy levels and reduced stress.
The illustrations on each label contains an animal that reflects the theme of the wine, enclosed within a ‘forest’ of the adaptogens that the bottle contains. For instance ‘The Dynamo’ aims to heighten energy levels, hence the illustration of a cheetah, an animal known for its high-speed, energetic sprints.

The Mingler: this bottle contains holy basil, lion’s mane and astragalus root, which are all adaptogens that reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing. This bottle is targeted to people who feel anxious in social situations or simply want to boost their mood, with the name ‘Mingler’ connoting the sociable, friendly energy that can come from enjoying the drink.
The Dynamo: this wine is for those who want to feel rejuvenated at social gatherings, containing the adaptogens maca, cordyceps and amla, which all aim to elevate energy levels. With ‘Dynamo’ commonly used as a colloquial term for a very energetic person, it was perfectly fitting to describe the aim of this particular wine.

The Observer: finally, this bottle is an option for those who want to gain mental clarity and focus. The adaptogens used are ginseng, centella asiatica and lion’s mane, which provide a powerful combination of improving memory, reducing fatigue and aiding overall cognitive function. This wine has been named ‘The Observer’, describing someone who pays close attention, connoting ideas of focus and intellect.
