I am a creative and technical individual who enjoys combining both aspects in every project I undertake. By taking on board and learning from user feedback, I continuously push myself to improve and develop thoughtful and effective solutions.

Breathe easier, live better

PureHome is an intelligent system that actively reduces humidity and improves overall air conditions, helping users create a healthier, more comfortable living space.

Indoor environments in small homes often suffer from excess moisture, leading to mould, damp, and poor air quality, issues that can seriously affect respiratory health.

Designed as an immediate and temporary intervention, the system is intended for use in privately rented homes where tenants may be waiting up to 4 months for landlords to carry out remedial work. By providing letting agencies and other organisations with a practical solution to loan out to residents, the product supports vulnerable occupants in managing indoor air quality and reducing the health risks associated with damp conditions.

Early electronic prototyping.

Final functional prototype.

Functional prototype demo UI & information display.

In response to a week-long brief provided by Holophane and the Lighting Industry Association, I explored a solution to “design a lighting product to reduce the impact on wildlife/animals”.

BioLumi.

The project proposed an aquarium exhibit lighting system which simulates natural bioluminescence to mimic the environment deep sea fish have evolved to survive in.

By using Vibrio Fischeri light levels similar to a full moon are emitted and the blue-green wavelengths mimic the light visible at the Abyssopelagic region of the ocean.

Using infrared motion detection, the light only activates when guests enter the attraction space, minimising the artificial light exposure for the fish.

SharkNinja.

Over my year placement I worked on 9 projects, collaborating cross functionally with Product Development (user testing) and Consumer Insights from global teams. This exposed me to various stages of the design process in industry and enabled me to be more aware of the different considerations that need to be included in product development.

The projects I took part in were front end concept generation, communicating functionality and producing quick prototypes to display interactions and be used in testing. I gained experience in embedding electronics into prototypes and incorporating feedback from senior designers into subsequent versions.

Redbull Soap Box Race 2024.

I applied, along with three other interns at SharkNinja to take part in the Redbull Soap Box Race in 2024.

We were awarded the Young Constructors Grant for which Redbull accommodated us for a weekend giving us access to their workshops and providing support as we built our soap box.

As we were working in Battersea Power Station during our placement, this was the inspiration for our kart.
