For this illustration project I chose to retell the classic legend of “George and the Dragon” with a twist.

The princess ends up being the hero in this tale, finding an alternate meal for the dragon instead of her fellow humans (spoiler: it’s vegetable stew) – but not before George gets eaten! The moral of the story is to talk out your problems instead of resorting to sword-and-shield based violence – and it’s not always knights in shining armour who save the day.

An out-of-house campaign adding bright spots of Morris & Co. prints to drab, forgotten corners, showing that even the dullest places can be lifted by Morris’s joyful prints.
