I’m a designer passionate about the intersection of art, technology, and human experience. For me, great design isn’t just about looks, it’s about creating meaningful, intuitive connections between people and products through thoughtful, innovative, and user-focused solutions.
Exploring opportunities for assistive device design for people with hand mobility problems
The Kineo Therapy Board is a hands-on rehab tool that helps improve mobility and dexterity through gamified exercises. It’s built with an OLED screen to pick presets, track your progress and follow along in real time. The buttons give a satisfying click with haptic feedback, so you know when you’ve hit them right. LEDs light up the board in a guided pattern to keep things simple and engaging. With three solo game modes and a fun two-player challenge, Kineo turns therapy into something you’ll actually look forward to.
Once a preset is selected and the game begins, users simply place each piece into the slot highlighted by the glowing LED. A built-in magnetic sensor detects when a piece is correctly positioned and automatically lights up the next slot, guiding the user through the sequence step by step.
The boards are available in three distinct colors: Teal Blue, Forest Green, and Beige. Each color reflects the brand’s identity, offering users a chance to personalize their experience and choose the aesthetic that best suits their style.
Concept breakdown and packaging
The Kineo Therapy Board is built with durability and usability in mind. The outer casing is made from sturdy ABS plastic, chosen for its strength and lightweight feel. Engraved symbols on the surface clearly mark each button’s function, making the interface easy to understand at a glance.
All buttons and charging ports are sealed to resist water, allowing the board to be safely wiped down and cleaned without risking damage to the internal electronics. Inside, Kineo runs on a reprogrammable Arduino-based system, giving therapists the flexibility to tailor settings and functionality to match individual user needs.

These are the three grip pieces that come with the Kineo Therapy Board. Each one is designed to get your hand moving in different ways, helping you build strength, control, and flexibility. You’ll find two versions of the tripod pinch, (one thin and one wide) plus a lateral pinch grip, similar to the motion you’d use when holding a key.
This is the final packaging users will receive—minimal, elegant, and thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind. Every detail, from the secure magnetic closure to the organized compartments, is made to ensure a smooth unboxing experience that’s easy to navigate for users with hand mobility challenges

When the screen powers on, users are greeted with a friendly reminder of what day they’re on and how many days in a row they’ve been practicing. It’s a small but powerful way to celebrate progress, keep motivation high, and show just how far they’ve come on their therapy journey.
