Hypothermia Survival Suit

Survival suit unzipped and removed from stuff sack

The Idea

A drone is launched from the mountain rescue team HQ, the hypothermia survival suit is flown remotely to the casualty’s marked location, in some cases within 20-30 minutes. It keeps them warm and dry until help arrives.

This early intervention will reduce the amount of time that they are directly exposed to freezing mountain weather, limiting the progression of hypothermia from becoming severe and life-threatening.

Instructions printed onto the back of the product stuff sack
Large, ergonomic zipper pull tab for thick winter gloves and cold hands
Removable charger with 3 different connection types for powering smartphones
Cuboid shape design in stuff sack to prevent rolling down steep terrain
Red LED lights to increase visiblity in the dark
Fully opening waterproof front zip for first aid access
Rechargeable stick-on lights attached to exterior of stuff sack
