A community-centred project at the beating heart of Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

‘The Wyvern’s Journey’ begins life in schools, community groups and craft workshops, where locals and visitors of all ages can contribute their interpretations of the colours and textures of the town. The public are encouraged to decorate a large-scale creature or colour drench with a multitude of mediums. These are then taken and used to create unique illustrations of Sleafordian landmarks, flora and fauna.

The project culminates in a large-scale, night-time light walk, winding through the impressive shells of the Bass Maltings buildings to the south of Sleaford.
Follow the famous Sleaford Wyvern around the town as he uncovers the wonders of the local landscape.
