21 Steps is my response to the 2025 21GRAMS D&AD New Blood brief.

Individuals with cognitive disorders are seven times more likely than those without disabilities to experience sexual violence. Down syndrome is a genetic condition that occurs when an individual has an extra copy of chromosome 21. This group tend to experience difficulties with expressing their needs and emotions, and although are at a greater risk of sexual victimisation than non-disabled individuals, this community is very rarely considered in conversations around sexual violence.
