Meena Fortis
Hello, my name is Meena Amelia Fortis, a Thai-English artist studying at Loughborough University. Within my work I explore and celebrate mixed culture through installation and film.
Though my work I explore my cultural history and identity as both Thai and British, celebrating nostalgia, location and interactions with my family. This dichotomy is presented through a mixed media approach expressed by manipulating archival photography through alternative process. These include natural dyes, print and film.
During my studies I have additionally looked at the relationship between digital and analog technology using them simultaneously within representation of imagery.
