Hi! I am an aspiring contemporary fine artist from Malaysia. Currently studying my foundation in Loughborough, I plan to complete my Fine Art degree in the University of Edinburgh. My practice reflects on my personal views of Asian culture stereotypes.

Automatic Expressive Paintings

By using my body as the “brush”, I freely express emotions through physical movements onto the paper. This transfer of energy is both releasing and therapeutic for my mind.

Installations & Performances

My concept expresses the societal pressure within an Asian culture to suppress emotions. By using specific symbols and objects used within the culture’s practice (incense ash, the colour red, orange, fire, joss papers) in my work, I aim to present a visual statement of the emotional suppression.
