I am interested in the interplay of the tangible and intangible. My project explores South Asian chai as a medium to cultivate agency and cultural continuity through a sensory architectural experience.
The sequence of individual, reconfigurable panels adapt to the needs of a set community while conveying spatial storytelling. These structural components are derived from Mughal Architecture and the sinuous, organic forms produced during tea brewing. Material and process exploration, such as natural dying and paper making, utilise traditional South Asian spices and tea leaves.
