Throughout my time at Loughborough, I have been able to refine my sketching, CAD and prototyping abilities. With a passion for human-centred design, I have spent my final year developing Ensō – a Japanese-inspired tea-making ritual designed for the British consumer.

Transforming British Tea into a Relaxing and Meaningful Ceremony

Ensō’s Tranquil Tea Ceremony

98% of tea in the UK is brewed using a tea bag, which conceals ritual and flavour.
Inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, Ensō is a sensory tea infusing device for your living room.

Ensō’s Tranquil Tea ritual, slows down the tea making process. Steam your leaves above the water while the temperature reduces, then rotate the mechanism to lower them in. Watch your tea infuse while the timer counts up. The spout achieves laminar flow to offer an elegant pour and a peaceful end to the ritual.
