Designing High-Stakes Entertainment for Panem’s Most Powerful
A high-concept betting platform crafted for the Capitol elite, Capitol’s Gambit turns the Hunger Games into an immersive gambling experience. This app fuses decadent visual storytelling with dynamic odds systems, exclusive tribute data, and socially shareable wagers, tailored for the image-obsessed, status-driven citizens of Panem’s elite.

Problem Space – What is the Issue?
In a society where spectacle is everything, the Capitol’s hunger for dominance and control demands more than passive viewership. Current engagement with the Games lacks the personalised interactivity Capitol elites crave.

With features like tribute performance analytics, customisable leaderboards, and shareable bets, users can assert their superiority while influencing the Games themselves.

Design exploration was rooted in rich world-building and persona development, ensuring every screen reflected the excess, control, and vanity that define the Capitol elite. Early wireframes were shaped not just by functionality, but by narrative logic, how would a high-status, image-obsessed citizen interact with a betting platform during the Games?

Problem Space – What is the Issue?
Relocators face numerous financial challenges when moving abroad, including unpredictable costs, fluctuating exchange rates and hidden fees. The result? Inefficient spending and overpayments.

Users receive actionable guidance with personalised tips on when to transfer money, where to spend, and how to save, making them feel confident and ready to thrive in their new home.

Wireframing for this project focused on mapping the user journey, from the real-time heatmap to personalised alerts. Low-fidelity sketches helped visualise key features like location filters and exchange rate data. Intent framing centred on understanding user goals ensured the design met their needs for efficient, real-time financial decisions.
