I consider myself to be a print and surface pattern textiles designer. My work combines nature and colour to create seamless prints to create movement that helps capture a mood for a specific settings.
This project celebrates dance as a sport, challenging stereotypes and highlighting the rigorous training dancers undergo. As a dancer myself, I wanted to celebrate a recognise what it’s like to be a professional dancer. This project was designed to be an interior collection featuring printed textiles and ceramics designed for professional dance schools spaces like changing rooms and warm-up areas the aim of this was to honour dancers’ dedication continuously. The designs incorporate motifs of movement and flowers, symbolizing the bouquets dancers receive after performances, preserving appreciation beyond the stage.
