MIDAS – An accessible, intuitive, and safe electroplating unit for hobbyist jewellers

Hobbyist jewellers were previously limited in the materials and finishes they could access by skill, cost, safety, and space.

MIDAS is an electroplating unit that brings industry grade metal finishes into an accessible, workshop ready format.

This isn’t just about turning jewellery gold. It’s about empowering makers. It’s about removing barriers and opening up access to the tools that help people create, experiment, and bring their ideas to life.

MIDAS has been built to be made, shipped, and used by real people. It comes as a user-assembled kit, designed to be clear and hands-on so the user can fully understand the product. Every part of the experience has been considered, from packaging inserts to a straightforward user manual to aid the user with assembly and use. It’s made to be built, understood, and used by makers.
