Ascent

Is a 3d printed personalised rock climbing harness, utilizing emerging technology and materials to provide a custom and performance driven experience. Aiming to push the boundaries of rock climbing innovation in a market where only small, medium and large sizing is available for professional climbers. My solution aims to create a frictionless and bespoke fit for my users body and their climbing preferences.

3D scan & Profile

Users geometry can be directly referenced and build from using at-home 3d scanning via photogrammetry. And further details are collected creating a holistic profile of the climber and their requirements from their harness. From a indoor speed climber, to an outdoor alpine climber their specific needs are met through the generation of a unique harness.

Adaptive 3d printed padding

Replacing conventional foam padding within climbing EPU-41, a resin based 3d printed material is able to conform to the users unique geometry when printed and include specified parameters. Tailoring the experience using the harness, elevating comfort and targeting dedicated climbers for there need for maximum performance.

D2C model

The bespoke platform operates and allows for a direct to consumer model allowing for a close connection with the climber ensuring the fit and function of the product is guaranteed. And delivering a unique experience every time.

Individual fit, collective brand

My branding followed a performance driven and athletic focus expressing its technical and functional capabilities. And targeting the individual climber striving for their next goal.
